Welcome To Contract Power (EC 003688)

a new age in the power generation industry.

The Contract Power Group of Companies (CPG) was formed in September 1991, initially as Contract Power Management Australia Pty Ltd, and has a long association with the mining and energy sectors around the globe.

Before Contract Power, there wasn't a company or organisation capable of offering not only new products, but innovative solutions to off shore mining activities, build own and operate power stations, small packaged gensets, service and supply and custom tailored maintenance solutions for operations and assets owned by major mining houses looking to outsource the operations and maintenance of these assets.

With this in mind the Contract Power Group (CPG) structured its business around these needs. CPG has its own design department, drafting services in house, and mechanical and electrical engineering capabilities within the organisation. The staff are all qualified electricians or diesel fitters with extensive mine site experience.

CPG has been involved in the installation and commissioning of major projects throughout Western Australia, Africa and Indonesia including:

  • Design, construction, commissioning and operations of a 36 MW BOO power station at Cloud Break for Fortescue Metals "The New Force in Iron Ore" and a further 5 MW in the Pilbara reigon for FMG
