Obatan Gold Mine

In 2000 Contract Power Management Australia was requested to dismantle a 6 MW power station owned by Resolute Resources and located at the Western Australian Bulla Bulling site and transport it complete to Ghana to the new Resolute owned Obatan Gold Mine.

We achieved this task by removing the station from its WA site in 6 days and sending it via a Russian Antinov transport plane to the new location in Ghana Africa.

This challenging project took a total of 7 weeks from tear down to recommissioning on the other side of the world.

The site was experiencing power supply difficulties from the local power provider and the power was being cut randomly and for long periods without notice.

This station served to keep production at its peak despite the local conditions.
